The rubber surround has been carefully chosen to properly dampen the cone movement. The open structure cast frame has been specially engineered for minimum reflections good air flow. Extra-large magnet with dual shorting rings and vented pole piece. This woofer could be used in various boxes but will likely require some boost on the low end to extend the lower frequencies.
